This site will provide a portal to share the 3 series of
Excel workbooks and spreadsheets I have designed and made available to all on the Internet.
Creation of these elaborate "Flexible" debt and financial management spreadsheets, marketed under
the banner "Loan Payoff Planner" has been a very detailed and time consuming project that I've had on the drawing board for
some time. Only my own past financial planning, such as these spreadsheets will
provide you, has enabled me to take the time off to complete this venture. They
are now proving to be of great benefit to many all over the world.
The link to each programs page is on the left. The primary workbook is called Loan Payoff Planner, and its sideline companion, Daily
Interest Monitor. The latest addition is a package of 6 or 8 workbooks that are marketed under the name "Legal
Interest Monitor", designed specifically for
law firms, but valuable to any business who manages lines of credit
for multiple individuals.
I can remember many years ago, planning and working towards
early retirement of a mortgage and managing the ever-increasing debts of a young family.
I can vividly recall the effort was a continual refiguring shot in the dark, and I only gained success through patience,
persistence and keeping the goal in focus. Not an easy task today, as most will
readily agree. Many people also have situations where family members owe them
a sum of money, be it repayment of certain college expenses, a car purchase, or any other loan situation. In some situations it is an IRS requirement that at least a minimum rate of interest be charged, and each
year at least that interest must be paid. Most of you probably feel as I do,
that we want to extend to responsible family members, a degree of flexibility in repayment.
I searched the Internet high and low, and could find nothing that came close to accomplishing and providing the "Flexibility"
that I needed, so, I set about creating it myself!
It has also been a dramatic revelation to me that I have found that our young people, more specifically college students,
are NOT being adequately educated on the impact of compound interest and personal debt management. Great personal satisfaction has come from the fact that, these spreadsheets and the related educational
pieces have been well received by many college students.
This was the original idea, and you will be exploring the
end result. It is my sincere desire that it benefit you as much as it has me! Loan Payoff Planner will provide you simple
but powerful tools to meet these needs and so much more!
